This summer, why don’t you….

-Take an early morning walk or bike ride on the Neyagawa trails
- Head down to the lake on a warm Wednesday night, grab a bench and watch the sails as the Wednesday Night races unfurl
- Treat yourself to a weekly ice cream or gelato at one of the many local spots with the goal of having a new fave flavour by Labour Day (FYI Hennessy’s on Lakeshore is now scooping Kawartha Dairies)
- Be dazzled by Canada Day fireworks in Bronte Harbour
- Check out the many new patios that have popped up in town
- Meet the farmers Saturdays at the Oakville Farmer’s Market (120 Navy Street) or at the Civitan’s Farmer’s Market at Dorval Crossing
-Eat local; try a new restaurant each week (even if just for dessert)
- Take advantage of all the big events the town has to offer eg. Midnight Madness, Jazz Festival, Oakville Children’s Festival (check out visitoakville.com for details)
- Take the kids to try out a new splash pad even if you have a pool
- Catch a movie under the stars at the 5 Drive-In (Canada’s largest)
- Take a Lake Walk in Bronte. On the first Thursday of every month in Bronte Village between 6 pm – 10 pm join The Lake Walk, a free form night time cultural event coordinated by the businesses of Bronte Village and the Oakville Arts Council which will present a night of art, food, music, and culture as well as special promotions and activities from the participating Bronte area businesses. Grab a friend and come on out!   Learn more at brontevillage.net
